Welcome to the relaunch of the NAMI of Lorain County newsletter! We are excited to share our new beginning with you. 2022 brought change to NAMI of Lorain County; we have an entirely new staff, for the first time since COVID in person support groups and educational classes took place. In addition, we hosted a dinner banquet in conjunction with our annual meeting.

In 2023 we will take the next step in providing services county-wide. As a nonprofit, NAMI at its core is volunteer led, we will look to you this year to help take NAMI of Lorain County to the next level.

Each newsletter will not only share what we have done, but what we have planned for the future, highlighting our great volunteers, and sharing volunteer opportunities. In the newsletter, we will have upcoming events, volunteer announcements, and meet our Board of Directors. However, those are just a few ideas, this newsletter is for you, so we want your feedback and content ideas!

We have expanded our office hours to better serve you, we have grown our reach in the county to better inform residents of our services, in response to your phone calls, we have introduced a young adult connections support group to better fit the needs of that demographic, and we have brought in a volunteer manager to focus on the recruitment and retention of what makes NAMMI great, volunteers!

We have an open-door policy, call us, email us, or come visit our office. Share your thoughts and opinions on how we are doing and where we should go in 2023. As this being the first edition of the newsletter relaunch, we are searching for a new name, what should we call the newsletter? Contact us now to get involved!
