Who We Are

NAMI is the nation’s largest mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for Americans affected by mental illness.

Since 1986, NAMI Lorain County has served families and individuals within our region impacted by mental health conditions. Mental illnesses can affect persons of any age, race, religion or income. Mental illnesses are treatable. Most people diagnosed with a serious mental illness can experience relief from their symptoms by actively participating in an individual treatment plan.

Our Mission

The mission of NAMI Lorain County is to improve the quality of life for individuals living with mental illness by providing them, their families, and public with education, support groups, and advocacy in the public arena.

Our Vision

NAMI Lorain County envisions a world where all people affected by mental illness live healthy, fulfilling lives supported by a community that cares.
