NAMI of Lorain County hosted it’s first in person educational course since COVID this past September.  The Peer to Peer class was held at the NAMI offices and was a huge success.  It was a huge milestone to have an in-person class, it signified “a return to normalcy” as we work toward providing services at a pre-pandemic level.

In addition to the curriculum, participants shared their experiences and thoughts, creating a bond with each other, which is what was missed so dearly during the pandemic.

Though our Peer to Peer class is over, we are working to offer another, if you would like to be notified when our next class give us a call and we will add you to our list of prospective participants!

About Peer to Peer

NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free, eight-session educational program for adults with mental health conditions who are looking to better understand themselves and their recovery.

Taught by trained leaders with lived experience, this program includes activities, discussions and informative videos. However, as with all NAMI programs, it does not include recommendations for treatment approaches.
